My little lady Evelyn turned 2 last weekend. I still can't believe how much she has grown. It is so fun to see her really expressing herself now. She talks in full sentences.
Oh I should mention that like her mama, Evelyn's favorite part of the celebration was the cake. She ate so much her poop was pink the next day. She woke up in the morning and said, "happy birthday to me, cake please". :). It was a great day!
 Love you bugaboo!

In home chopped

Since we are moving we are trying to use up food we have in the house do we have less to move.
So last weekend we decided to have our own chopped competition. Our main "basket item" had to include pork chops. We were able to use anything else in the house that we wanted.
I came up with Asian lettuce wraps. Mike well, he went a little outside the box. His first dish was actually pretty good. It was a mustard glazed pork sandwich. The second dish was so bad I couldn't even swallow it. Mike ate it but, I think he was trying to prove that it was good. It was a baked pork chop that was coated with chocolate covered graham crackers with an applesauce and peanut butter reduction.
We are for sure going to do this type of competition again. It was so much fun.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant now.
I'm feeling much better but still have some days where morning sickness is rough. I am more tired now too. I thought I was supposed to get more energy during the 2nd trimester.
I felt the little guy move this week. It was light movements but is was still great to feel.
I'm actually really looking forward to finding out if Evelyn is going to have a brother or a sister.
I'm really getting big early this time too. Most of my clothes are already too small but my maternity stuff is too big. I dread getting dressed most days because everything is uncomfortable. This will only last a few weeks though then my maternity stuff should start fitting. Oh and I'll get to buy done cute new summer clothes :)

Craving banana pancakes

I woke up this morning hungry as usual. I'm generally starving and end up having cereal so I can get something in my stomach fast but today I took some time to make pancakes. It's from allrecipes.com and I've been using this one for a while. It is so much better than box pancakes and I always have everything in my pantry
3/4 cup milk
2 T vinegar
1 cup flour
2 T sugar
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 egg
2 T melted butter

Mix vinegar with milk and set aside. Mix all dry ingredients, mix wet and then combine.

This time I put bananas and pecans in mine.
