Homemade cranberry sauce

I decided to try to make cranberry sauce this year instead of opening a can. I've read a lot of different recipes for homemade sauce so I combined a few and came up with my own. 

12 oz fresh cranberrys
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water 
Juice from half an orange 

I just added everything to a pot and brought it to a boil. When the cranberrys started to pop I turned it down to a simmer for 10 minutes. Then I removed it from the heat and let it cool. I stored in the refridgerator until we were ready to eat. 
Everyone really liked it. No more canned sauce for our house.
